2005 marked the release of Wedding Crashers, a film that was largely responsible for putting the R-rated comedy genre back on the map after a number of years. This was the fourth film directed by David Dobkin and had Steve Faber and Bob Fisher serving as writers. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn star in Wedding Crashers as John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey, two friends and divorce mediators with one common passion: crashing weddings impersonating other people in order to get free booze and seduce women without making commitments. When they hear that the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury William Cleary's daughter is getting married, they set out on a mission to sneak into the event unaware that it would change their future forever, as one of them is about to fall in love.
