Talk about a good investment. What studios love about horror projects is a two-parter. One, they have pretty slim price tags. And, two, they typically rake in bucks. However, some do better than others at the box office. And, just as some are more lucrative, some have even slimmer budgets than others. The following are horror films made for less than $1 million (without accounting for inflation) and went on to secure their investors ridiculous mountains of profit. And, perhaps not surprisingly, they're winners as films, not just as moneymakers. After all, audiences turned up in droves for a reason.
