The horror genre has always been known for its expansive list of tropes that appear throughout the genre. Among them is the forever famed trope of the final girl, also known as the sole female survivor to survive the brutal attacks of the killer, who regularly appears in slasher films. While the trope has been subverted in numerous ways, including featuring a final boy instead, the Carol J. Clover-coined trope is one of the most memorable parts of horror films.
