Even without a single movie in theaters that showcases his new cinematic universe, James Gunn already seems well on his way to showing how interconnected his new DCU will be. On November 15, the online news site Deadline reported that actress Maria Gabriela De Faria will step into the role of The Engineer for the highly anticipated superhero film Superman: Legacy. This odd choice does seem to run right alongside his main motif of putting the spotlight on the more obscure personalities of the comic book world.
