Star Wars is presently one of the longest-running franchises of all time, having debuted in 1977 with Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. While many sequels and prequels to the original trilogy have been substandard, a few stand out, notably Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Recent years have also been quite exciting, with shows like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka keeping the franchise's charm alive.
