Judging by the quality of the first episode, The Penguin will be a more-than-worthy expansion of Matt Reeves' The Batman and, in effect, his Batman universe as a whole. In fact, if the quality holds steady, The Penguin could be even better than The Batman, and not by a small margin. There are multiple reasons for this, from the cinematography to the writing and, of course, Colin Farrell's literally transformational performance as the titular character.
