Disney has reached a significant box office milestone, becoming the only studio to pass $2 billion in box office ticket sales for 2024. After a historically bad year in 2023, when Disney saw historic box office flops from The Marvels, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and Haunted Mansion, the studio had an incredible comeback. Thanks to the likes of Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Moana 2, along with 20th Century Studios films Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Alien: Romulus, Disney has passed a major box office milestone right as 2024 comes to a close.
