At this point, Netflix has no shortage of anime adaptations based on popular manga. From One Piece to Sakamoto Days, the streaming platform has only doubled down on the genre in recent years. Now, it is set to adapt an award-winning manga as an upcoming animated series that has shades of The Matrix, Soylent Green and Blade Runner.
