Elizabeth Holmes is an entrepreneur who became infamous in the 2010s thanks to her company Theranos, which purported to have devised a method of running hundreds of medical tests with just a couple drops of blood. The only problem was that the technology didn't work, and Holmes was accused of tricking investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars. She was convicted on four counts of fraud and is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
