Feudal Japan is calling in FX's new limited series, Shōgun. The series, although officially announced in 2021, has been in development for quite some time. FX first announced that they would be adapting the best-selling 1975 novel of the same name, authored by the famous James Clavell, back in 2018. Shōgun is being brought to screens by Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo. Marks also serves as showrunner for the miniseries while executive producing alongside Kondo, Michaela Clavell, Edward L. McDonnell, and Michael De Luca. Hiroyuki Sanada, who also stars in the series, takes on the role of producer for Shōgun.
