Nicolas Cage is nothing short of a living, breathing enigma. Ever since breaking out in the early 1980s and winning a Best Actor Oscar for 1995s Leaving Las Vegas, he has built up one of the most eclectic filmographies of anyone in the industry. Some of his films have been good, some have been awful, but almost all of them have been memorable in some way, and Cage himself can almost always be counted on to do something interesting with the material hes given. And for an actor as prolific as him, there was a stretch of time when he seemed incapable of turning down a role.
