Season 1 of Breaking Bad has often been labeled the dullest of the five chapters, and part of why some viewers found it difficult to invest in the show. Staunch fans will disagree, but there is some truth to this. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season has the lowest score (86%). While this would be considered a decent score for most shows, it pales compared to the AMC project's other seasons, which all received unanimous critical acclaim. Arithmetically speaking, no other season scored less than 95% on the review aggregator website.
