As fans await James Gunn's Superman live-action reboot in theaters next year, the Man of Steel could return in another form if Warner Bros. and DC Studios are up for it. Tom Welling, who starred in the coming-of-age Superman series Smallville, has had an idea for some time now to continue that show's story with an animated sequel. Should they get the greenlight from the powers that be, the entire cast is up for a highly-anticipated return.
