First introduced in James Gunn's 2025 film Superman via a brief cameo at the end of the movie, Milly Alcock brings an exciting new energy not just to superheroes in general, but also a new kind of representation for female characters in cinema. The comic book movie genre has had plenty of flawed male main characters at this point in time, and Supergirl now presents itself as a film that will showcase a character who isn't afraid to be genuine, flaws and all.
