Colin is a thirtysomething parking officer in London, living with his parents, moonlighting as a member of a barbershop quartet. He’s gay, and his love life isn’t great, despite his mom’s best efforts to set him up on blind dates with nice guys. It’s hard to see him as much more than pathetic, and that’s where Pillion, the debut feature from British writer-director Harry Lighton, begins.
