Although there's been no dearth of spectacular, thought-provoking science fiction thrillers in the last decade, only one reigns supreme with the benefit of hindsight. Indeed, Denis Villeneuve's brilliantly conceived and realized alien-invasion film, Arrival, has passed the test of time with flying colors and holds up as the preeminent cinematic Sci-Fi touchstone for a generation of moviegoers.
