Oscar-nominee Ryan Coogler is enjoying one of the most successful years of his career thanks to his work as the writer and director of 2025's Sinners. Behind Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld, the movie was nominated for 16 Academy Awards (more than any other movie in history), including nods for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. After this movie became a global phenomenon, Coogler is also set to return to the MCU in the near future to continue his work on the Black Panther franchise.
