AMC pulled off the impossible with The Walking Dead: not only did the network manage to bring the R-rated zombie comic to life as a TV show, but they also managed to make it one of the biggest forces in pop culture for more than a decade. The project was such a success that, even as cast members began to exit and the core title lost some momentum, the network took beloved characters into their own spin-off projects, as The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Lived all earned their own followings. With some of these spin-offs coming to an end, reports have emerged that these spin-offs will merge into one event akin to the scope of Avengers: Endgame, and while creator Robert Kirkman won't rule out that idea, he confirmed it would be a major logistical challenge.
