When DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn announced the slate for the first phase of DCU releases, Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, he teased the development of the first Green Lantern project, Lanterns. Said to be in the vein of True Detective, Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler were subsequently cast as John Stewart and Hal Jordan in the HBO Max show, bringing the two world-famous Green Lanterns to life. These two are set to team up to solve a mystery originating in Nebraska, but fans have not seen much footage or imagery from this series yet.
