Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, has been a source of celebration and animosity for fifty years. As a child performer with The Jackson 5 to a bona fide star in his own right. By the 1980s, he towered above everything, not just with his music but with iconic music videos like Thriller, directed by John Landis. Those of us old enough to remember can't forget the 1993 Super Bowl halftime show when Jackson performed memorable renditions of "Black and White," "Heal the World," and "Billie Jean." The world seemed to stop to appreciate the talent and message from the globe's biggest star.
