I have fond memories of rifling through my collections of The Far Side as a teen, always wondering when Larson was going to put out more books, while also being blissfully unaware that he had stopped making comics. I had internet access, but at that age, it was for music, AOL chat, forums, Newgrounds, and MUGEN. Indeed, I was unaware that Larson's last strip was published on January 1, 1995, capping a fifteen-year run. Moreover, the final stretch, from 1990 onward, was leaner, with Larson having scaled back his output after returning from a year-long hiatus.
