The Disney era of Star Warshas had its ups and downs, both financially and critically. These reactions are based only on the projects that actually get released. These reactions reflect only released projects, not the many films and shows reported as in development that were ultimately scrapped. One hindrance that fans and execs at Lucasfilm can agree on is that committing to release dates can make a project feel rushed and fall short, or lead to abandonment if a date can’t be met.
