Since the conclusion of Stranger Things, many have wondered what would be next for the series creators, the Duffer Brothers. In August 2025, shortly before the debut of Stranger Things Season 5, news broke that the writing and directing duo had signed an exclusive film development deal with Paramount Skydance. The four-year deal will see Matt and Ross Duffer develop movies, television, and streaming projects.
