It has been four years since Jordan Peele's last film, Nope, released in theaters. This officially marks the longest gap in the director's filmography. The next follow-up was originally set to open over Christmas 2024, but was delayed following the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. While Universal Pictures set the movie for an Oct. 23, 2026 release, the studio pulled it from the release schedule in September 2025, with no new date set.
