In the age of online mass media consumption, I have a lot of nostalgia for Gary Larson. His work was only available in collections for a long time, so I owned a few and was constantly checking the rest out of the library. There was always something special about just sitting with them, being in the moment, and offline (I realize the irony as I type this). Larson touches on plenty of subjects in The Far Side, and the Western is one I grew to appreciate more over time as I became a fan of the film genre.
