Ice Cube and Nia Long have a long history of working together, including on two of the former's breakout projects. Long had a brief role in Boyz n the Hood, in which Cube starred, and she also had a small role in Cube's screenplay debut, Friday, though the two never shared the screen together. With Ice Cube in talks to return for 24 Jump Street and Nia Long coming off the box office hit Michael, the two will reunite on screen for a long-awaited follow-up to a series of family comedies that were released nearly 20 years ago.
