The Odysseyis out, and depictions of classic historical and mythological literature have become a hot topic in the film world. With that in mind, there's nothing like celebrating the release of a new Homeric epic movie by going back and watching the classics. 22 years after its release to mixed reviews, Troy falls under that category, and its depiction of The Iliad offers plenty of discussion points that pertain to Nolan's new epic. I recently reread the Homeric epics and rewatched Troy, giving me more perspective on the movie than ever.
