Gary Larson used The Far Side to portray very simple-minded, accident-prone humans. Yet, like all of his work, there is always a bit of realism in what Larson is making light of, often taking something simple and turning it absurd. Now, it would be perilous to model your life after The Far Side and make the absurd "normal" — but if you dig a bit deeper, there are words of wisdom sprinkled throughout the comic strip. Sometimes, it is very literal and specific, yet still good life advice. Other times, it applies to real-world scenarios. Well... if you use your imagination a bit.
