From early police procedurals and crime-of-the-week detective shows like Columbo and Dragnet to the cinematic serialized shows we see on television today, like True Detective and The Penguin, crime thrillers have been beloved mainstays on our TV screens for decades. Often, the most elite of the genre will find themselves cemented in pop culture, spoken about in regular conversation for years after. However, with so much content at our fingertips now, it's not surprising that some great shows end up fading into obscurity over time.
