CNN has fired back at the Trump administration for the arrest of former CNN correspondent Don Lemon and other journalists. On Jan. 30, 2026, Don Lemon, journalist Georgia Fort, former candidate for St. Paul mayor, and co-founder of Black Lives Matter Ministry Trahern Jeen Crew, and DFL candidate for Minnesota Senate District 65 Jamael Lydell Lundy were arrested in connection with a protest at a church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Attorney General Pam Bondi said on X, "At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota."
