Spoilers ahead for The Boys Season 5, Episode 1, "Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite."The Boys Season 5's premiere, "Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite," powerfully references one of the Prime Video show's very first moments from the 2019 pilot, allowing one of its most underrated characters to complete an expertly written redemption arc. While fairly commonplace in superhero storytelling, this kind of storyline isn't quite so common in The Boys. Thankfully, the show's brutal approach to propelling the narrative forward hasn't overshadowed what could have been a missed opportunity.
