This weekend, the first Star Warsmovie to come out since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker hit theaters, and the executives at Disney were nervously wringing their hands. There's been a lot of gloom and doom surrounding The Mandalorian and Grogu, a movie continuation of The Mandalorian TV series from Disney+. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently has a 62% critics score, which is technically fresh, but only barely; only a couple of Star Wars movies have critics scores lower than that. Meanwhile, the movie underperformed in Thursday night preview screenings, leading to fears that it could flop at the box office.
