It's been a long wait, but Matt Reeves' long-awaited sequel, The Batman Part II, has officially entered into production. The filmmaker first introduced audiences to his iteration of the Caped Crusader in 2022, when The Batman first released in theaters. Not only was the film a box-office success, but it has also been widely regarded as one of the best live-action iterations of the character since The Odyssey director Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's interpretation in The Dark Knight Trilogy. A follow-up felt inevitable, though it took some time before Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin were able to crack the script to begin production on the film.
